ERBI's Annual BioPartnering Exchange is the most successful regional biotechnology event in the UK. Now into its 11th year, this gathering of leading biotech opinion formers has become a major highlight in the European conference calendar.
Our meeting is a showcase of the leading products, services and technologies that are being researched and developed in a single biotech cluster and because Cambridge is the leading cluster in Europe, this is no ordinary showcase! The event therefore attracts decision makers from global pharma and big biotech - executives keen to get first sight of the latest developments from Cambridge. We deliberately keep the ERBI event small in terms of numbers of delegates - typically no more than 500 in total. This provides an environment conducive to informal networking (you'll never have the problem of not being able to find someone!) and it means we maintain the quality of the event in terms of the type of company attending (we focus on the bio-pharma companies) in addition to the seniority of delegate.
The event is held over three days and has three main elements; conference, formal partnering and the Technology Showcase. The conference element includes 3-4 keynote speeches by respected biotech influencers on topical issues and over 30 company presentations by Cambridge companies. The partnering element, held throughout the event, offers delegates the chance to attend pre-booked, validated one-to-one meetings.
"The conference is really well organised and has been a huge success. The presentations were interesting and relevant and there is a great opportunity to meet people from all walks of the UK biotech scene" Dr Malcolm Skingle, GlaxoSmithKline
"The success of this event says a huge amount about the strength of ERBI and the East of England in this field" Professor Trevor Jones - Chairman ABPI
